Deep tissue is a type of therapeutic massage that focuses on the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. This type of massage uses slow, firm pressure and techniques such as cross-fiber friction, compression, and deep strokes to target specific areas of tension and pain.
During a deep tissue massage session, the massage therapist will use their hands, fingers, forearms, and elbows to apply pressure and manipulate the muscles and connective tissue. The therapist will work on areas that are tight, knotted, or have limited range of motion, and will use their techniques to release the tension and improve circulation. We recommend breathing and visualizations to aid in the process of releasing the tight muscles.
Releases tense/aching muscles, realigns the body to help with postural imbalances, increases range of motion, release of trapped emotions and promotes deep relaxation.
